So I have made a little trip out to Illinois to see my great friends, Matt and Lynda and the kiddos of course. I arrived on Thursday the 12th and it has been full of fun!! Yesterday Lynda and I went to the Feed Store for a great lunch in downtown Springfield. Then we treated ourselves to a pedicure. The chairs at the salon were FABULOUS!! Too bad it is cold outside, because the toes are ready to be out. But, unfortunately it is cold, so when we leave the house, they are covered with shoes and socks.
It has been great to be with them and live life. Pure chaos with the kids at times, but the usual for us once the kids go to bed. Wine, T.V., conversation and lots of laughter. We went to Chicago to LegoLand Discovery Center with Colin and Aubrey on Presidents Day, and we had a great time. However, somehow all of us adults gained a little present of a Cold on the same day. The kids don't have it yet...knock on wood. There is more fun to be had, painting the kitchen, hair cuts, and a couple more late night television watching, wine, and laughter. I am so grateful for my friends who are truly family!! More to come in the next couple of days!!!
